Welcome
St Martin’s Nursery School is a Catholic Maintained Coeducational Nursery School in the Turf Lodge area of West Belfast.
We welcome children and staff from other faith denominations. During the school year 2026-27, the intake of the school will be 52. St. Martin’s is a purpose built nursery, traditionally catering for the needs of pre-school children in the parish of Holy Trinity.
There are two Nursery classes of 26 children. Each class is led by a specialist Nursery and Early Years Teacher and supported by a full time Nursery Assistant and other qualified learning support staff.
The recent ETI Inspection noted that:
“The well organised classroom and extensive outdoor areas provide a wide range of learning opportunities across all areas of the pre-school curriculum.”
In our school our whole approach to Nursery education is child-centred; where the children experience a broad and balanced curriculum which enhances their educational, personal, social and emotional development. It is our aim we foster in children life-long learning values as indicated in our Mission Statement-
“We aim to develop a lifelong love of learning by creating a safe, positive and inspiring learning environment which supports the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and creative development, interests and needs of all children; to allow them to grow and thrive”.
